PHILIPPE DUNETON: A Mystic Artist to discover
Born in France in 1956, Philipe Duneton is a self-taught artist. His style of painting stems
from a mystical quest originating from studies within the Talmud scriptures. Having
travelled throughout the world, he aims to harmonize spirituality with art.
Through the prisms of his work, he invites us to discover an existence that is mystically
artistic, where themes from the Bible juxtapose with symbolic abstractions, and visual links
resulting from his initial journey, discretely unveil a road that leads to that which has been
kept hidden. The invisible, the unseen.
His technique and his style reveal a world where Hebrew lettering takes on quite a <divine
title>. It is in the lingering on each canvas, that we sense the composition of a profound
symbolic meaning.
Today, Philippe Duneton lives in a hacienda in the Yucatan, Mexico, where he continues
to paint as a full-time passion. His art is the condensed reflection of all of his very different
lives: modern, religious and oriental.
Philippe’s work is regularly on display in galleries in the United States, France, Israel and
Morocco. His paintings enrich several private collections.
