Woodphotographs by Eduard Meltzer. With the Woodphotographs series, Zurich photographer Eduard Meltzer creates an unusual combination of image and material. The photographs are created directly on wood - each piece is deliberately selected for its structure and surface and becomes part of the image composition. The special feature: Each motif is only used once. In combination with the individual wood grain, this creates unique works that cannot be reproduced or repeated. Each Woodphotograph tells its own visual story. “I'm fascinated by how the image changes through the wood,” says Eduard Meltzer. “The structure gives the photograph depth and character - that's what brings each work to life.” All works bear the signature “Woodphotographs by Eduard Meltzer ©” and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity that documents the uniqueness of each piece.
